4 C's of Teaching
The Teacher: 4C's
Here are four elements that will provide direction for the teacher
1. Called: Hearing God and responding to Him. One will recognize that there is a need. God then prompts you to do something to meet that need. Finally, there is a specific action that is taken that matches God's passion and direction in teaching that will meet the need of the students.
2. Competent: Knowing the lesson. The teacher needs to personally understand and apply the lesson before teaching. This will provide the teacher with a passion for the material to be applied in the students lives in a way that will bring honor to God.
3. Confident: Doing the lesson. In presenting the lesson the teacher relies on their personal study, knowledge and allowing God to teach them. The teacher finds confidence in presenting the lesson though their personal study and spiritual preparation.
4. Character: Being a model. The teacher is real by living the lesson and helping the students see how they have personally applied the lesson to their own life. A teacher with good character is a teacher that will have credibility in the eyes of the student.
